Linda M. Dawe Is Promoted To The Ranks Of Stanford Who's Who
Stanford Who's Who welcomes Linda M. Dawe to the ranks of leading professionals as a result of exceptional effort in the Entertainment Industry.

SUTTON, ON, CANADA, June 30, 2011 /Stanford Who's Who/ -- Stanford Who's Who welcomes Linda M. Dawe to the ranks of leading professionals as a result of exceptional effort in the Entertainment Industry. As President of Music Solutions Inc., as well as throughout her brilliant professional career, Linda has routinely demonstrated the vision, dedication and diligence necessary to be considered among the best.

Linda is involved in devising and implementing plans to get musicians and their songs airtime on the radio. She currently promotes several independent artists to radio stations in Canada. Linda began her career in 1970 as a journalist for Canada's first music magazine, Beetle Publications. The next year Linda moved on to the A&R team of Columbia/CBS Records Canada. In 1974, she became Promotion Coordinator for MCA/Universal Records Canada.

In 1976, Linda became Canada's first female promotion manager for RCA Records. She was involved in handling promotion for such artists as Bob Marley, Hall & Oates, and Elton John. She then formed Linda Dawe Associates in 1980, which was one of the first to promote artists on independent labels in Canada. After establishing relationships with radio programmers, Linda topped the charts with Frankie & the Knockouts, Kix, Cruiser, and Don McLean's "Crying."

In 1987, Linda started The Music Brokers and soon discovered Roch Voisine. As a result of radio promotion, his first self-written single, "Helene" went to #9 on the Canada-AC charts in 1989, eventually selling 3 million albums. Linda managed radio, publicity and international tour promotion for Roch Voisine for the next decade until forming the current company of Music Solutions Inc. in 1990. She was also the co-author of First True Love and the co-star of a documentary about her life which aired on CBC.
