Stanford Who's Who Selects Fundraising CFO For Membership
Alan W. Kraemer has been accepted among the prestigious ranks of Stanford Who's Who as a result of his outstanding professional career.

PASADENA, CA, February 6, 2011 /Stanford Who's Who/ -- Alan W. Kraemer has been accepted among the prestigious ranks of Stanford Who's Who as a result of his outstanding professional career. As Manager and CFO of Sober Musicians Fundraiser Inc. for the past 7 years, Mr. Kraemer has routinely exhibited the passion, vision and dedication necessary to be considered among the best.

Sober Musicians Fundraiser Inc. is a nonprofit organization known publicly as the Annual Musician's Picnic. The organization started 25 years ago as "The Musicians' Meeting," a 12 Step group of sober musicians, who started a backyard BBQ and "jam session" in celebration of sobriety. It has since grown into the West Coast's largest one-day 'clean & sober' event, with live music on two stages, children's activities and a multi-prize raffle and silent auction of celebrity autographed memorabilia and merchandise. Among the large roster of incredibly talented musicians who have performed for the cause are Eric Clapton, Bonnie Raitt, Wayne Kramer, Mick Fleetwood, War, Devo, Great White, Slash, David Crosby, Billy Idol, and Chicago.

Over the years, the Musicians' Picnic has generated over $1,000,000 in revenue with an attendance of over 79,000. After production costs and expenses of site rentals, the funds raised are donated to the MusiCares/MAP Fund which assists needy musicians in getting rehabilitation. They also donate books and literature to the groups who visit hospitals and institutions carrying the message of recovery. The organization recently added The Bob Timmins Foundation who will use their donation to assist adolescents into recovery.

Mr. Kraemer is responsible for budgeting events and paying bills. He also runs a men's clothing store in Malibu. Alan speaks locally about his past lifestyle and how he overcame drugs and alcohol abuse as well as informing his audience on how to live sober. He is a member of Alcoholics Anonymous, Musicians Assistance Program, and MusiCares.
