Michael Butera Named a VIP Member of Cambridge Who's Who
Michael Butera spent two decades as an executive within the National Education Association family of organizations

RESTON, VA, November 16, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Michael Butera, Executive Director at The National Association for Music Education (MENC), was recently named a VIP of the Year by Cambridge Who's Who. This special distinction honors individuals who have shown exceptional commitment to achieving personal and professional success.

Mr. Butera has 30 years of overall professional experience. As an executive director, he is responsible for supervising a staff of 50 people, working with constituencies to promote high public policy at federal and state levels, fundraising and attending meetings. He previously worked as a music teacher in the 1960s.

In 1968, Mr. Butera received a bachelor's degree in music from Duquesne University. He also participated in graduate coursework at Duquesne University as well as at the University of Maryland. He is a member of the American Society of Association Executives.
