Canadian Band "Man Attacks Crowd" Reaches 10,000 Downloads in 72 Hours for Debut Single "Beautiful Tonight" - Guitarist Kyle Hosick: "We're Over the Moon, Obviously!"
With the help of Facebook, Man Attacks Crowd's debut single "Beautiful Tonight" has hit 10,000 downloads within 72 hours of the band having posted a free link on its website.
TORONTO, ON, August 07, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Canadian band Man Attacks Crowd has reached 10,000 downloads of it's debut single "Beautiful Tonight" simply by having the song go "viral". Lead singer Ryan McConkey's network of 1000 friends was the initial boost, and has since led to the single being downloaded over 12,000 times at press time.
Band founder and guitarist Kyle Hosick attributes the success to the track's unique sound, saying: "The vocals are distinct and it really captures a classic rock'n'roll attitude that is missing from most music today. Once one person liked it, and announced it, a veritable Facebook tidal wave took place. It was cool and not something we expected."
The band looks forward to releasing more tracks that build on this following, and to soon finding management that can help take the music to the masses.
