LateRooms.com - See Classical Guitarist Craig Ogden in Pembrokeshire
Craig Ogden is set to play a selection of classical guitar pieces at the Torch Theatre in June.
MANCHESTER, ENGLAND, April 24, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Craig Ogden will bring his virtuoso guitar skills to Pembrokeshire's Torch Theatre this summer.
The Australian-born musician is due to perform at the Milford Haven venue on Tuesday June 21st, when his repertoire will include works by Albeniz, Barrios and Fernando Sor.
Ogden, whose album The Guitarist was widely acclaimed by classical music critics last year, has been studying the instrument since the age of seven.
In 2004, he was honoured with a fellowship in recognition of his achievements from the Royal Northern College of Music, becoming the youngest performer to receive this award.
His talents on the fretboard have led to recitals at some of the world's most prestigious concert venues and seen Ogden touted as a successor to classical guitar legend Julian Bream.
He also received plaudits for his album Music from the Novels of Louis de Bernieres, which was recorded with mandolinist Alison Stephens.
Tickets to see Ogden perform at the Torch Theatre are available to buy online, priced at GBP15.50. The show is scheduled to begin in the venue's Main House at 19:30 BST.
Concert-goers planning to stay nearby will find a range of hotels in Tenby at LateRooms.com, including the Fourcroft Hotel Tenby.
