Hollywood, California's ArtistPR Donates to Japanese Tsunami Victims
The Hollywood, California music promotion company, ArtistPR.com will be joining in the relief efforts by donating to the Red Cross as they continue to help survivors in Japan.

HOLLYWOOD, CA, March 31, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Yet another disaster rocked the Far East, as an earthquake and subsequent tsunami hit the shores of Japan on March 11, resulting in a major disaster for local residents. With 3,400 killed and thousands more injured, missing, or displaced from their homes, organizations such as the Red Cross are taking up collections and have already contributed an initial amount of $10 million. The Hollywood, California music promotion company, ArtistPR.com will also be joining in the relief efforts by donating to the Red Cross as they continue to help survivors in Japan.

As if the earthquake and rising tide of the tsunami weren't enough, a number of aftershocks continue to impact cities on the Pacific shore which have created unstable nuclear reactor situations. A fire and explosion at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant posed serious threat to local citizens on March 15 as workers frantically quelled the blaze to stop rising levels of nuclear radiation.

The initial Red Cross contribution will be focused on providing immediate essential supplies such as medical equipment, blankets, and shelter for evacuated survivors. Medical teams and Red Cross volunteers will be working around the clock as well to tend to the nearly 2,000 injured and 450,000 currently in shelters.
