Fans of rock'n'roll will not want to miss the upcoming Big Sandy and his Fly-Rite Boys gig in Bilbao.

The band will play at the Kafe Antzokia on April 1st and be supported by the Hi Risers' Greg Townson.

Big Sandy and his backing group have been playing rockabilly, western soul and country boogie for the past two decades or more.

The Californian band have released a string of records during that time reflecting the musical style of the 1940s and 1950s.

Turntable Matinee is the latest of these and it had a slightly different production process compared with previous albums.

"Recording was different this time," Big Sandy explained on the group's official website.

"I feel like it was a bit more of a creative atmosphere, because we worked up all the songs in the studio."

Admission starts from EUR12 (GBP10.10). Doors open at 21:00 local time, with the music kicking off at 21:30.
